Who is responsible

QBEAT, Singapore, operates sidebyside and is responsible for the personal data described here. This notice covers this website, support correspondence and the current macOS preview.

Website data and cookies

This site has no analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms or app-owned cookies or local storage. Hosting processes IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, timestamps and, when sign-in is required, authentication data to deliver and protect the site. OpenAI Sites and infrastructure providers including Cloudflare handle that data under their own policies.

Interactive demonstrations

Demo text stays in page memory and is not sent to QBEAT or saved by this website. Reloading or closing the page clears the demo state. Language selection changes the page URL without storing a cookie.

Data on your Macs

Device names, local addresses, public device identities, trust settings and screen layouts support discovery and connection. Enabled mouse, keyboard, clipboard and file traffic passes between authenticated Macs; QBEAT does not receive it. Private device keys are held in macOS Keychain. Settings, file metadata and sync logs remain on your Mac.

Sharing and permissions

Clipboard and files start disabled. Enabling file sharing permits authenticated peers to browse accessible folders and perform supported file operations. Shared Docs uses bundled Syncthing with cloud discovery, relays, telemetry and crash uploads disabled. Synced edits and deletions can reach paired Macs. You can disable sharing and revoke macOS permissions.

Support and lawful processing

If you write to QBEAT, we use your contact details, message and any enclosures to answer your request, diagnose issues and meet legal obligations. Do not send passwords or private keys. Processing relies on consent, deemed consent or another lawful basis under Singapore’s PDPA. Where GDPR applies, the bases are legitimate interests in site security and support, contractual necessity where applicable, and legal obligations.

Recipients and overseas processing

We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. Hosting providers and correspondence services, authorised personnel and authorities where legally required may receive relevant data. Providers may process it outside Singapore. Overseas transfers must meet applicable safeguards, including comparable protection under the PDPA and GDPR safeguards where required.

Retention and your choices

Demo state lasts for the page session. Local app data and received files remain until you remove them; uninstalling may leave settings, Keychain entries and files. Support data is retained only while needed for your request, disputes or legal duties. Hosting retention follows provider policies. You may request access, correction and, where applicable, deletion, restriction or portability, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal may affect support. We may verify your identity.

Questions, complaints and updates

Contact QBEAT at the postal address below for privacy requests or complaints. You may also contact Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission or another competent regulator. Updates appear here with a revised date. Material new uses require notice and any consent required by law.
